Netstar Advanced System (M) Sdn. Bhd. is a joint venture between Proton Edar Sdn. Bhd. And RTG Corporation Sdn. Bhd. Proton Edar Sdn. Bhd. is a wholly owned marketing arm of Proton Berhad, and RTG is an established private corporation specializing in information systems integration, web-enabled solutions and the supply of and maintenance of toll information management systems.

Currently Netstar Advanced System (M) Sdn. Bhd. adopts the tested and proven tracking and recovery systems and technology from its South African Technical partner Altech Netstar (PTY) Ltd. Netstar has been operational in South Africa since its inception in 1994. It has proven itself to be the leader in effective, fool-proof vehicle recovery with a market share of more than 50% in an extremely competitive market consisted of over 120 competitors who operate on various technological platforms such as GPS, GSM and similar RF technologies. As a result of its extraordinary success record, the same network system has been adopted to replicate similar or better results here in Malaysia.

OEM Since 2002

Proton Edar Sdn. Bhd. has had a 40% share in Netstar Advanced System (M) Sdn. Bhd. since the beginning. This partnership has led to CAPTOR being installed into some high-end Proton models at OEM level. Such models are the Chancellor, Perdana V6, Waja 1.6, Gen.2 1.6 and Satria Neo Hi-line.
